December Retreat Reflection: Nutcrackers and Nonattendance

I was not able to attend the retreat this weekend, because I was participating in a performance of The Nutcracker with Ballet Wolcott. So I have had to make up the work that I missed, which means watching a lot of videos and taking a lot of notes. I will do my best to relate my current teamwork to “High-Performing Teams Need Psychological Safety. Here’s How to Create it” and “The Moral Roots of Liberals and Conservatives.” Currently, I feel that there is a good level of psychological safety within our group. We are able to have good conversations with each other in our hangouts, and have set some good goals with where we want to go before the next retreat. In relation to the TED talk, I feel like we haven’t seen a lot of opposition to our ideas in this project yet. I think it will be interesting to see that as it unfolds, and I think it will definitely help us to feel more strongly and think more deeply when we do face some opposition from others. In the next month, I think we will start interviewing and gathering footage, and I hope to start composing and maybe recording some music we would like to include in our documentary. First though, I need to get myself a camera to use.
