why am i here

(in the context of wts)

i am here because i want to learn about everything teachers don’t want to talk to us about. i want to join a community of people who want to make change, whether it’s big or small. i want to analyze the thoughts i often ignore for whatever reason and figure out where they come from. i want to learn about how the world functions and how i am a little person in a big universe and how to figure out how to get my ideas into the workings of society. i want to know why we still have to stand up to the stuff we and others deal with on a day to day basis. i want to know why so little has been done to fix all this. i want to have people to look up to who are making their voices heard and letting the world know who they are and what they want to do.

  • Hi Camila,

Your curiosity about the world and your place in it is refreshing, heartening, and gives me hope for the future. I look forward to hearing about everything you discover, and seeing the change you work to bring about.

You say, “I want to have people to look up to who are making their voices heard”. I believe you will find many of those people in WTS, but I also think YOU are on your way to becoming one as well!

    Hi Camila,

I share Abigail’s sentiments! I look forward to learning more about you through your writing and am looking forward to meeting you. I work here at MUHS and hope you will come by the guidance office to meet me in person.

These are interesting times and the involvement of students and their curiosity gives me hope and a sense of encouragement! I have long been involved in a variety of activities, mostly educationally oriented, but am eager to hear more from you!
