#1 Blog Post
I’m the one who likes to lead small groups. I like to collaborate. I do my best work alone but I always save energy for group work. I don’t like to waste time. I don’t think going off into tangents of having fun is wasted time I just like to be productive.
I’m here because I want the freedom to create something, and freedom to think. The scale of this project is almost overwhelming because theres so many social issues to focus on, and I want to do one justice. I’m hoping to make a well-researched, thought-provoking, insightful, and sophisticated documentary. That will be difficult, I’m sure, but I’m here to challenge myself. Here is a long list of things I might be interested in:
Sexism&Feminism, intersectional feminism, mental illness and stereotypes, DACA recipients, the poverty cycle
I’m the one who wonders a lot about social issues and various perspectives on issues. I wonder about what’s static in the world and what is changing. What is right, what is the best solution, how do we solve this, how do we learn more about this? Each year I feel like I learn more and my eyes are opened even more to the world and sometimes all the information and opinions are overwhelming, but I know it’s important to listen to all of them and think about all of them.
I’m excited for this program and to work with different people!
Great first blog entry, Zoe. I can relate to a lot of what you wrote, mainly the balance between solo and group work and valuing a space that gives “freedom to think.” Glad to have you on board this year!
