I have no idea what I want to do. I think what I need to do is find a group of topics I would be interested in and then narrow them down until I have my final choice, which will be something that I would be willing to put time into researching.

I would suggest thinking about topics that you’re passionate about. What makes you happy? What do you want to learn about? What bothers you in your community or your world? My suggestion to you is to think about what you want to change in Vermont, and what could make it a better place, then you can try to focus your topic idea around that.
