December Retreat Reflection: Equip-ment
Over the course of this retreat I think I have learned a lot. For one, I learned how to use the fantasic equipment that we are being provided with. This is going to be a great thing for me, since I am working alone and I am ready to start planning interviews. Another thing I learned is about psychological safety, and the fact that it is one of the most important factors of a successful team, whatever the team might be trying to do. A thing that really stood out to me until he article we read was that humans hate losing more than they love winning. Finally we listened to a TED Talk about moral psychology. Something that definitely stuck for me was that babies aren’t born as a clear slate: the presenter had 5 foundation ideas that all babies are born with: Harm/care, Fairness, Authority, In-group, and Purity.
In the next month, I hope to get the interviews of my schoolmates done, and to start scheduling the other interviews for after the year’s end holiday. This will be all my job, so I hope to be very productive.
