My First Retreat
Over the weekend I learned a good amount about everything. I learned other people’s opinions and ideas about certain subjects, and I even tried to get to know the other people in this program (hence the word tried). As you can already tell this first overnight has been a learning experience and even though I struggled I have to admit that it was an absolutely needed struggle because it helped me come up with a topic that perfectly suits what I wanted to pursue through this project from the start. I am now with a great group that understands what I am advocating for, which is great because I can share ideas and share resources without feeling like they won’t understand. The people in my group have great ideas as well, which will really help as well. I am exited to continue my work with my group and learn more my about my topic as the weeks progress!
